I put one of those on my Volvo turbo wagon when the muffler decided to add more holes to itself after 24 years. I put a Walmart or AutoZone chrome or stainless “resonator” tip on the back for a little subtlety

It looks that your ground clearance is currently negative. Is this a problem in your area?

No, but there’s no hanger on it so it’s way lower than it should be. It can move up at least 3-4 inches before it hits the underside.

Ok. That explains it.

I approve. The same is literally the only sound control on the Niva. It’s a straight pipe all the way back with only a gentle kink for the rear axle. I pretty well need earplugs for any drive longer than an hour. And because it runs as well (or not-so-well?) as it does, it spits flame when I come off the throttle, which has lead to there being no more fibreglass packing in it, so it’s LOUD. It’s been described as sounding like an airplane going past.
